Royal McCarty, a resident of Pauls Valley was born July 23, 1912 in Tussy, Oklahoma to O. L. and Betty Brown McCarty. He passed away January 23, 2004 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years.
He married Vera Pickel at the Pauls Valley Presbyterian Church on May 19, 1945. He was a farmer and had lived in Garvin County all of his life. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Royal enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially wolf hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 brothers and sisters.
Survived by his wife of 58 years, Vera of the home.
Funeral services will be held January 26, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel officiated by Chuck Lightfoot. Burial will be at Whitebead Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
