Walter Alex Parker, of Rt. 1, died Friday in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He is survived ny his wife, Mrs. Ada Parker; two sons, Samuel Parker, Bedford; Walter Junior Parker, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Brown, Mrs. Elsie Lowry, both of Bedford; five brothers, Edward Parker, Douglas Pullen, both of Arlington; Joe Parker, Charles Parker, both of Bedford; Nelson Parker, Roanoke; three sisters, Miss Elizabeth Parker, Miss Nancy Parker, both of Washington, D.C.; Mrs Sally Stone, Roanoke; 19 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Monday a the Western Light Baptist Church, Bedford County. Interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 8 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Bedford Funeral Home, Bedford is handling arrangements.
