Robert Julian was the son of Jesse Julian and Sarah Fields Julian. He was born on July 20, 1789 in Randolph County, NC. He married twice.

Robert married Hannah Brower on January 21, 1813 in Randolph County, NC. They had 4 children before Hannah passed away. They were:

Robert married Bethany Holmes on December 17, 1827 in Randolph County, NC. They had 7 children. They were:

Robert was listed in the Randolph County NC 1815 Tax List as owning 160 acres that was valued at $600.

Robert was listed in the Randolph County NC 1820 Tax List as owning 2 tracts of land. He had 194 acres on Sandy Creek valued at $850 and 106 acres, also on Sandy Creek, valued at $800.

Robert was also mentioned in the will of his father, Jesse, which was probated in Randolph County NC in May, 1846. He received land and payment. He was an executor of the will with his brother Jesse Jr.

Robert and the younger children were living in Randolph County, NC at the time of the 1850 Census. Robert moved with them to Adams County, Illinois by 1855 to join his oldest daughter, Lucinda Julian Stout. Robert died in Adams County, Illnois in 1856.
