Lorraine Dearing Gouge

Lorraine Dearing Gouge, 88, passed away at Baybrooke Village Rehabilitation Center in McKinney, Texas on August 13, 2014, after a short illness. Mrs. Gouge was born in Bonham, Texas on September 26, 1925. She was the first daughter born to the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Dearing of Bonham.

After Graduation from Bonham High School, she married her high school sweetheart, James A. Gouge, on November 2, 1946, in Bonham. A devoted husband, he remained by her side through her illness. Their son, Robert K. Gouge, of Prescott, Arizona was with them. She is survived by a grandson, Kris Gouge of Tucson, Arizona. Other survivors are her sisters, Rosemary Dearing Stolleis of Denton, Texas and Linda Dearing Epperson of Garland. Her brothers, Roger Dearing and Morton Dearing predecease her. Mrs. Gouge will be interred in Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, Texas. A private, family service is planned. Arrangements were with Charles Smith Funeral Home in McKinney, Texas.

Mrs. Gouge was a member of First United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of McKinney to whom the family is grateful for their end of life care or the Bonham Public Library of Bonham, Texas.
