Joel Clarence Jordan, 81, of Dodson, died in a local hospital Friday, March 21, 1969.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Glyn Mixon, Rev. Willie Broadway, and Rev. W. F. Harrell officiating. Burial was in the Zion Hill Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Survivors are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtice Shirley of Dodson and Mrs. Myrtle Lee James of Dodson; three sons, Loyce Jordan of Winnfield, Edward Jordan of Dodson, and Homer Jordan of Dodson; one brother, Otto Jordan of Dodson; one half-brother, Horace Jordan of Hodge; one sister, Nena Jewell of Jonesboro; two half-sisters, Mrs. Cecil Wallace of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Sara Harvell of Wyatt; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
