Hermann Becker was born in Berghofen, Germany not far from Dortmund to Herman Becker and Elisabeth Wiesehoefer.
Herman had an older sister named Gertrud Becker.

Hermann married Louisa Vicariesmann in Germany on December 8, 1877. They had a total of 16 children but only 9 lived to be adults.

He came over to American in 1892 landing at Ellis Island and on to PA and the rest of the family came over in 1893 also landing at Ellis Island.

First Settling in Missouri then taking the wagon train up into Wyoming and claiming a Homestead. Herman and Louisa Divorced in March 1903. The Divorce was quite a battle, but Louisa won the fight. Herman who was living with Rosa Lewis before the divorce, and soon married each other after the settlement. They had a child named Hilda born in Colorado in 1904.

Herman was also falsely accused of a crime of counterfeiting in May of 1900. His son, August Becker, had given evidence under oath tending to convict his father which was afterward found to be a lie. August Becker was then duly convicted of perjury and sentenced to the penitentiary in Wyoming

Herman, Rosa and Hilda move to Grover, Idaho and found in the Census in 1910.
On June 12, 1912 they are found on records for Border Crossing to Canada. Stating the place of destination is Kamloops, British Columbia.
