Earnest Ruben Stark, 90, Rt. 2, Sumner, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997, at his home.

Services will be at lO a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, in Leslies Chapel Assembly of God Church with The Rev. Wayne Farmer officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral home will make burial in Georgia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

He was born March 18, 1907, in Parma, MO to Ray and Molley Bailey Stark.

He was a shoe repairman and attended Leslies Chapel Assembly of God Church.

He married Joyce M. Hickman in 1930 [sic]. She died in 1975.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Rob Stark, a sister, Anna Boydston and three grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Alice Beshirs of Sumner and Nora Walker of Colton, CA; five sons, Jack Stark of Fresno, CA, Elmer Stark of Bonham, Jim Stark of Campbell, James Stark of Merit and Joe Stark of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Clara Stevens of Charlston, SC; a brother, Earl Stark of Pueblo, CO; and numerous grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gerald David, Billy Ray and Glynn Beshirs, Stanley Frazier and Billy Randell Beshirs.

Honorary bearers will be James Earl Stark Jr. and John Albert Stark.
