Loretta Rose Asselborn, 95, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Bickford Assisted Living in St. Charles, IL. She was born on December 9, 1919 in Woodstock, IL to Peter and Katherine (Petit) Feltes. Loretta lived most of her life in Aurora and North Aurora raising her six children. She married Harold Asselborn in Cloverdale, IL. in 1941. Loretta was a member of St. Rita of Cascia Church and the Third Order of St. Francis. She was the heart of her family and her family was the center of her life. Loretta volunteered for many community activities including Provena Mercy Medical Center, Hesed House, Marmion Mothers' Club and her church choir. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, baking for family and friends, and playing cards. She is survived by her children, Larry (Donna) Asselborn of Hinckley, IL, Kay Medernach of Aurora, IL, Ron (Judi) Asselborn of St. Charles, IL, Donna (Ron) Dieter of Brimfield, IL, Dean (Patti) Asselborn of Centennial, CO, and Debbie (Chris) Cotter of Aurora, IL; 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; sisters Irene Schramer and Helen Kuhn; sister-in-law Ramona Feltes; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold of 49 years in 199, her parents, her brothers Fremont, Victor, Albert and Walter; her son-in-law Frank Medernach, and her granddaughter Stephanie Bailey. Funeral from the Daleiden Mortuary will be Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:30 and to St Rita's Church at Noon. Interment will be at Marywood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 11, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at the Daleiden Mortuary.
