Fremont J. Feltes, 90, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at Neighbors Next Door care home in Aurora. He was born June 7, 1914 and raised on a farm in Woodstock, IL.
Fremont was employed for five years at Lyon Metal after the war ended. He was then employed by Pines Engineering Co. (Teledine Pines) for 34 years as a welder, retiring in 1979. He was a charter member and 1st President of Pines Employees Credit Union and a member of the Fox Valley Marmion Dad's Club. Fremont lived in Florida for 14 years and returned to Aurora in 1998 to live at Fox Knoll.
He is survived by a son, Dennis J. Feltes of Oxnard, CA; six daughters, Nancy (Kenneth) Neal of Grand Junction, CO, Bonnie (Robert) Gottsacker of Madison, WI, Beverly (Dr. Warren) Brandwine of Cherry Hill, NJ, Betty (Richard) Stahl of Sugar Grove, IL, Mary (Gregory) Mix of Danville, CA and Alice (Dr. Timothy) Burandt of Cheboygan, MI; 17 grandchildren; a great grandson; three sisters, Loretta Assellborn of Aurora, Irene Schramer of Aurora and Helen Kuhn of Glen Ellyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth A. (Kelley) Feltes; his son, Kenneth; his daughter, Charlene; his parents, Katherine (Petit) and Peter Feltes; and three brothers, Walter, Albert and Victor Feltes.
Funeral from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY will be Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Rita Cascia Church at 10:00 a.m. Msgr. Robert J. Willhite will officiate with interment at Marywood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a liturgical wake service at 3:00 p.m. at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, 630-631-5500. www.daleidenmortuary.com
Fremont's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Neighbors Next Door for the wonderful and compassionate care their father received from them.
