Elizabeth "Liz" Werth, 76, Minot, died Monday, March 13, 2006, in a Minot nursing home.

Elizabeth Faul was born April 12, 1929, in Harvey, ND, the daughter of John and Katie (Wagner) Faul. She was raised and educated through grade eight in rural schools in the Harvey area. She was employed at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey, ND, in her younger years.

Elizabeth was united in marriage to Edward Werth on March 17, 1946 in Harvey. In 1951, they moved to Minot, where Elizabeth was employed by Coca-Cola Bottling Company from 1960 – 1969. She was also employed at Minot State University for a time. Elizabeth took employment with Erik Ramstad Junior High School assisting in the kitchen as a cook until her retirement in 1991.

Edward died on November 30, 1995. Elizabeth entered ManorCare Health Services in January 2006. From that time on her nephew Tom Kunnanz, his wife Laurie, and their sons Reed, Shane, and Peder took special care of her and her pet dog Ginger.

Elizabeth was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Eagle's and Moose Lodges, all of Minot. She was also a life member of the VFW, DAV, and American Legion Auxiliaries, all of Minot. Her hobbies included embroidery, gardening, playing Bingo, and going to Lydia's Café. She will be deeply missed by all who shared in her life.

Surviving family includes: Sister: Delores (Ruben) Lindeman – Rugby, ND; Brothers: Phillip (Bonnie) Faul – Harvey, ND and Terry (Betty) Faul – Minot, ND; Sisters-in-law: Evangeline Faul, California, Zella Werth, MT and Alice Feist – Harvey, ND; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and special companion, her pet dog Ginger.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Elwood "Woody" Werth, two infant daughters, sisters, Irene Almer and Alma Kunnanz, and brothers, Elmer, Arnie, and George Faul.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
