John Holliman, 98, of Poyen died Friday at his home.


He was a retired farmer and lumberman.


Mr. Holliman was a Baptist.


Surviving are two sons; Arthur Holliman of Benton and Aubrey Holliman of Sheridan; five daughters; Mrs. Laura Newell, Mrs. C. W. Meek and Mrs. H. C. Rushing all of Sheridan, Mrs. John C. Hosteller of Texas and Mrs. Henry C. Meyer of Missouri; two brothers, Ben Holliman of Poyen and T. C. Holliman of Prattsville; a sister, Mrs. Lula Corley of Prattsville; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.


The funeral will be at 2 PM Sunday at the Buie Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Poe Cemetery by Buie Funeral Home.
