Sheridan - J. W. Holiman, 93, lifelong resident of Grant county, died in a Longview, Texas, convalescent home yesterday. He was a retired farmer and a native of the Sweet Home community in this county. He was a member of the First Baptist Church here. Survivors include three sons, Ernest, Longview; Oliver, California, and Virgil, Illinois; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Sheppard, Corpus Christi, Texas, Mrs. Ella Ashcraft, Longview, Mrs. Bean Ashcraft, Kilgore, Texas, and Mrs. Alma Harris, Gregdon, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Sally Sheppard, Detonti, Mrs. Mary Mooney, Sheridan, and Mrs. Lula Corley, Prattsville; and three brothers, John H., Sheridan, Powell, Prattsville, and Ben Holiman, Poyen. Funeral services will be conducted in the First Baptist Church here by the Rev. Harris A. Purtle, with the day and time to be announced later.
