George C. Arleth, Jr., age 83, of Levittown, Pa. died on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at Towanda Memorial Hospital in Towanda, Pa.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. Arleth was a resident of Levittown since 1953. While in his 70's he built his mountain home in Dushore, Pa., which he thoroughly enjoyed. Until his retirement in 1983 he was employed as a Supervisor with Dream Pools in Trenton, N.J. for 37 years. Mr. Arleth was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 88th Infantry "The Fighting Blue Devils". He was a recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart for action in North Africa and Italy. He was a member of the Blue Devil Society and the D.A.V., PA 117.

Mr. Arleth was the beloved husband of the late Marquerite K. Arleth (nee Cullen).
