While following her husband in the Air Force, Arlene raised 4 children traveling to Japan, Okinawa and across the country. After 21 years as a Military family, Arlene and her husband retired in Austin, Texas. After her husband began his second career with the USPS, Arlene became an active member of the NALC Auxiliary. Arlene enjoyed visiting with her children and grandchildren, sewing, and preparing for the holidays. She loved owls and making flower arrangement- something she was very skilled at.
She is survived by four children, Teresa Rudolph and husband Jeff of Georgetown, Ronald Wright and wife Kelly of Hutto, Michael Wright and wife Carol of Marble Falls, and Cynthia Wright of Hutto; her sister, Sarah Kroll and husband Henry of Illinois; and six grandchildren, Brittany Wright, Karl Rudolph, Matt Rudolph and wife Kayla, Katie Rudolph, Cody Wright, and Lance Wright.
Her sense of humor, tenacity, and life's wisdom will be deeply missed.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, August 12, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks in Pflugerville.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hospice Austin.
