RANSON, W.Va. - Evelyn L. Spitzer, 81, of Ranson, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at her home.

Born June 11, 1926, in Engle Switch, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Wilmer T. Bagent and Ida Mae Snowden Bagent.

She was a member of Kabletown United Methodist Church and a past member of Engle United Methodist Church.

She is survived by
her husband of 57 years, Clifford "Red" Spitzer;
three daughters,
Rose Myers of Rippon, W.Va.,
Donna J. Fields of Ranson, and
Tammy Sokel of Summit Point, W.Va.;
one son,
Kenneth Bageant of Bunker Hill, W.Va.;
eight grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren; and
nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by
three sisters,
Elizabeth Owens,
Margaret Root and
Juanita Balwanz; and
two brothers,
Lester Bageant and
Donald Bageant.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Eackles-Spencer and Norton Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry, W.Va. Pastors Jim Gano and Dennis Jackman will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, W.Va.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, WV 25401 or Kabletown United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 11, Rippon, WV 25441.
