INWOOD, W.Va. - Elizabeth Owens, 84, of Inwood, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at City Hospital.
Born Oct. 31, 1917, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Wilmer Taylor and Ida Mae Snowden Bageant.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Owens; one brother, Lester H. Bageant of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one sister, Evelyn L. Spitzer of Ranson, W.Va.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Bageant; and two sisters, Margaret Root and Juanita Baldwin.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at South Berkeley Chapel, Inwood. The Rev. Brian Shoda will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Lutheran Cemetery, Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
