William, the only son of Supervisor Oscar Schmoldt, died at their home in the town of Mayfield on Thursday morning after a short illness from pneumonia.
He was first ill with the prevailing epidemic of influenza, but recovered sufficiently, as be thought, to be about. In going out too soon, he caught cold and was taken with a very severe attack of pneumonia which proved fatal, despite all that mortal aid could do to save him.
He was a young man about twenty years of age and was highly esteemed by all his friends and acquaintances.
One child, a daughter, is left the sorrowing parents, who have the heartfelt sympathy or a large circle of friends in their sad bereavement.
