BRADY—Funeral services for Preston Howard Patton, 88, of Brady, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Ash officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of the Heritage Funeral Home.
Mr. Patton died Sunday, Feb. 17 in Brady.
He was born Jan. 23, 1914, in San Saba County to Zack and Susan (Meridith) Patton. He married Mildred Higginbotham on Feb. 18, 1971, in McCamey. He was a rancher and a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sybil Gryder and husband Melvin of Comanche and Tina Roland and husband Robert of Snyder; four stepchildren, Carla Bratton and husband Gene of Brady, Bill Schooling and wife Annette of Dallas, Joe Kilkrist and wife Ilene of Houston and Linda Hester and husband Paul of Florida; two brothers, Bryant Patton and wife Valerie of San Saba and Raymond Patton and wife Wanda of San Saba; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
