Bryant Patton, of San Saba, Texas, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013, in San Saba. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 18, 2013 at 10 AM at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in San Saba with burial at China Creek Cemetery.

Bryant was born on April 13, 1921 in Goldthwaite, Texas and lived in San Saba his entire life. He retired from the County of San Saba after many years of dedicated service. He was a veteran serving in the Army infantry and as a military policeman during World War II and received an honorable discharge in 1945. He was an avid gardener and received much recognition during his life for his talent for growing extra large vegetables.

Bryant is survived by his wife, Valrea Patton of San Saba; daughters, Sarah Hyatt and husband Darl , Karen Richards and husband Randy, and Janice Werst and husband Mark, all of San Angelo; a son, Randall Patton and wife Rosie of Arkansas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Bryant was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Patton, daughter Geneva Sue Patton, his parents, Zack and Sudie Patton; his brothers, Preston Patton, Prentice Patton, Raymond (Boots) Patton, John Riley Patton, and Olen Dean Patton; his sisters, Gladys Lusty and Annie Shipman.
