Carlis Edward Brown age 82 of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015.

He was born in Sparta, TN and raised in Livingston, TN. He retired as a laborer from the Local #1410. Carlis was a past president of the East Dayton Boys Club Fathers Club and a former Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader. He was a member of the NRA and a 50 year member of the Modern Woodman of America. He enjoyed fishing and can collecting, but was also very proud to be a part of the Cherokee Indian Heritage.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Mary (Bierman) Brown, daughters: Ann Moretto of Pataskala, Barbara Perkins of Dayton, Carla Atkinson of Dayton, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, half sisters: Laura Ann Brown, Frances Helton (Rafael), Emma Brown, Linda Brown, half brother: Steve (Beth) Brown, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Palo and Rosie (Coffman) Brown, son: Jeffery J. Brown, sisters: Elese Masters, Helen Gaby, Maud Ellen Brown, brother: Billy Brown, half brother: Paul Edward Brown and half sister: Kathy Brown.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood).

Interment will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
