"J. C. "Clovis" Billings, age 90, of Coleman passed away Monday evening, March 9th, 2015, at the Coleman Healthcare Center. Family graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 11th, at the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Allcorn Funeral Care of Coleman.
"A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, to be announced. He was born May 24th, 1924, in Coleman and had lived here all of his life. He was a charter member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Coleman where he was very active. He was a stock farmer. He is survived by his wife, Claris of Coleman, two daughters, Carla Billings of Coleman and Pennie Jones and husband Paul of Carrollton. Two granddaughters, Beth Billings and Lori Jones also survive."
