Aaron Ashford Sr. was in the 1840 Parke County, Indiana Census with his wife and two sons. There is a question as to whether at 70 years of age he and his wife Rebecca returned to Columbiana, County, Ohio where his death probate was conducted by his son George Ashford in 1849.

5-2020 Update - Per the "Portrait and Biographical Album of Hillsdale County, Michigan" 1888, Pg. 304 highlighting Jesse and wife Elizabeth Chamberlain Crow, the graphic above indicates that Aaron Ashford Sr. and wife Rebecca Jane Nutt Ashford spent the remainder of their lives in Columbiana County, Ohio. Elizabeth Chamberlain Crow was the daughter of Samuel and Susannah Ashford Chamberlain. Susannah Ashford Chamberlain was the daughter of Aaron and Rebecca Jane Nutt Ashford. Thus Elizabeth, the granddaughter of Aaron and Rebecca Ashford, is the reporter of this fact.

As all Ashfords buried to date in Columbiana County, Ohio are buried in the East Carmel Cemetery it would make sense that this is likely where Aaron and Rebecca Jane are laid to rest also.
