Mrs. Oscar (Mamie) Rhodes of Deport died Monday, 8 Sep 1986, at Cherry Street Annex.
Services were held Tuesday, 9 Sep, at Grant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glen Renfro, the Rev. Chief Warden and the Rev. Pat Otwell officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery.
Mrs. Rhodes was born 14 May 1896, in Red Oak, a daughter of John Albert Blankenship and Molly Elizabeth Price Blankenship.
On 11 Apr 1913, she married Oscar Rhodes in Cunningham. He died 9 Jan 1981.
Surviving are two sons, Ray Rhodes of Paris and Dwayne Rhodes of Deport; four daughters, Mrs. Sam (Ann) Roberts of Deport, Faye Neal of Sherman, Mary Norman of Edmond, Okla., and Juanita Davis of Deport; one sister, Mrs. Homer (Opal) Smith of Paris; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Juan, James and John Albert Rhodes.
