Ray LaMar Allred died of heart failure Tuesday, March 11, 1975 in a Salt Lake City hsopital.
He was born Oct. 29, 1898 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Parley Adelbert and Elizabeth Burnside Allred. He married Gertrude Rolfson on July 26, 1926 in Mt. Pleasant, and she died May 15, 1965. He married Elva Peake Jensen on Nov. 18, 1966 in Eklo, Nev. He was a farmer. He also was custodian and night watchman for Westminster College. he was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include his widow, one son and three daughters, Merrill Allred, Barbara Stewart, Elaine Voorhees and Helen Olson; 17 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Howard, Mrs. Sperry, Maxine Llewellyn, Ruth Hamilton, Ida Camarillo and LaVern Jensen; a brother, Virgil Clinton "Shorty" Allred, who died only two day earlier on Sunday, March 9, 1975.
