Duane was hit in the head with a rock thrown by a neighbor boy and he began suffering epileptic seizures that ultimately caused his death some years later. He is buried next to his mother, Emma Lou (Gray) Locke Uhlenbrock. He was the brother of Mabel, Mary, Betty, Edith. His stone marker is incorrect eventhough it states 1920, Duane died Feb. 7, 1930. His mother, Emma Uhlenbrock, is buried to the right of him.
