MRS. CHARLES CARPENTER
Mrs. Charles Carpenter, Centralia, whose accidental death resulted from the skidding of an automobile driven by her husband, was born in Madison county, Arkansas November 15, 1873. He maiden name was Stansell. She had brothers and sisters in this county. She was married to Charles Carpenter in 1891. She is survived by her husband and four children: Jacob William, Oneida; Mrs. Mray Stuke, Home; Harry Carpenter, Oneida and Gerald Carpenter, Centralia. She had spent most of her married life on farms in Nemaha county and at the time of her death lived on a place a mile southeast of Centralia. Mr. Carpenter, while not seriously hurt in the accident, was bruised and terribly shocked. The expression of sympathy for him and the sons and daughters is general. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Hesse of Centralia at the home Friday and interment was in the Seneca city cemetery.
