He was a member of Trinity Masonic Lodge #14, Livingston, TX, and Livingston First United Methodist Church. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and was a member of VFW Post 8568 in Livingston, where he served in the honor guard and a term as Post Commander.
Hank loved his family, fishing, road trips, gambling and building projects.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Sallie Edenfield, sisters Hazel Wagner, Nel Kinlan, Mildred Munn and Annie Frier; brothers Gordon Edenfield and Fred Edenfield; son-in-law David Kennedy and step-daughter Karen Poxon Bock.
He is survived by his wife, Elinor Poxon Edenfield; daughters Teresa Edenfield, Rhonda Kay Edenfield and Glenda Edenfield Kennedy; son Glenn Edenfield and wife Wanda; daughter Pam Edenfield Mabry and husband Mike; stepson John Poxon and wife Ellen, stepdaughter Laura Poxon Brown and husband Jerry; sister Martha Lammey and husband Jack, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Silverado Memory Care of the Woodlands for their loving and compassionate care during Hank's final months.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 25, from 6 -8 pm at Addison Funeral Home, 18630 Kuykendahl, Spring TX. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 26, at 10 am at Addison Funeral Home. A private family burial will take place in Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
