On April 26, 1870 Alice married Levi G. Hake in the First United Bretheren Church in York, Pennsylvania. Their first five children were born in York county and by 1880 they were living in Harper Kansas where, on September 25th, Levi was elected councilman in the first city election. Alice and Levi's remaining five children were born in Kansas. Only three of her children survived their mother. At the time of her death, Alice was also survived by three sisters and a brother.
