Leona Simpson was born on April 9, 1926 in Trenton, Utah and passed away on Feb 1, 2015 in Tacoma.

Leona grew up on a farm in Cornish, Utah. She became a registered nurse through the government war program in January 1948.
She married James Simpson in February 1948 and together they raised six children.

Her greatest joys were serving others, singing, gardening, crocheting, baking bread, canning and fishing. She and her late husband served in the Seattle LDS Temple for over 21 years.

She is survived by her three sons and three daughters, 34 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

Visitation will be Friday, February 6th from 4 to 7pm at Mountain View Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 7th at 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the corner of 17th Avenue East and 112th Street.
