Death of John Tucker
John Tucker, aged 44, died at 1 o'clock Sunday morning, Jan 24th at his residence near town, from puncture of the bowels.
Mr Tucker had been very ill for some time past and the end was not unexpected.
The funeral was held from the tabernacle at 2:30 pm yesterday. The speakers were Geo W Lewis, Edgar Hunsaker, B M Johnson, H S Phelps, J A Stewart, John T Vance, Bishop Hunsaker and Isaac Dana.
Deceased leaves a wife and three children, two girls and one boy, the eldest 12 years old and the youngest six. His mother, Mrs Rebecca Tucker, and brother, H B Tucker, of Red Rock, NM have been here for some time past. The mother will remain until early spring.
John Tucker was originally from Jasper County, Tenn., and had lived in Mesa twelve years. He was highly respected by a large circle of friends, who mourn his loss.
