Murl Willis Harvey, 86, a resident of Baker, LA, died on Saturday, December 13, 2014.

He was retired, after working for Allied Chemical for over 26 years.

Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 5pm until 8pm and then on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 9am until funeral services at 11am, conducted by Rev. Jay Avance. Burial will be in Greenoaks cemetery in Baton Rouge.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Ray Harvey and his wife, Jodi Ray Harvey of Missouri; one brother, Thomas E. Harvey and his wife Ann of Baton Rouge; special niece Ellen Smith, and many other beloved family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Murray and Ella Harvey, wife Mary Earline Diamond Harvey, sister Stella H. Fenton, brothers Jefferson Garcie, Oma G. Harvey, and Willie A. Harvey.

He was a veteran of the US Army, where he served as a communications specialist and a military intelligence.
