LaMerle Janney Beacham Bowen December 19, 1922 - May 18, 2013 Macon, GA- LaMerle Janney Beacham Bowen, 90, died on May 18, 2013. Her memorial service will be graveside at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery located at 3969 Mercer University Drive on Tuesday- May 21,2013 at 11:30 a.m. Reverend Julie Long will officiate. The family will greet friends after the service. Born December 19, 1922 in Warwick, Georgia; the youngest of nine children born to George Washington and Lula Mae Lane Janney. She resided most of her life in Macon, Georgia where she was a member of First Baptist Church of Christ and was a graduate of A.L. Miller High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Charles Reid Beacham. Most recently she had been married to the late Morgan Bowen. She had been employed at Massee Beauty Salon and retired from IBEW Local 1316. Survivors include son Charles J. (Mary Ann) Beacham, grandson Chad Beacham, granddaughter Katie Beacham, great-grandson Oscar Beacham, eight nieces and nephews, and longtime friend Eleanor Castellan. in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Skyler Bear Project of Pine Pointe Hospice and Palliative Care of Central Georgia, P.O. Box 6533, Macon, Georgia 31210 or to First Baptist Church of Christ - 511 High Place, Macon, Georgia 31201 in memory of LaMerle Beacham Bowen. The family would like to thank the staff of Bolingreen Health Center for the excellent care they rendered during the past six years she was a resident there and are also appreciative to her Pine Pointe Hospice and Palliative Care family of caregivers. Arrangements are entrusted to Willis Funeral Services Inc., 191 MLK Jr. Drive in Forsyth, Georgia and Macon
