Barbara Ann Chain Parrish, 73, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Sunday November 23, 2014 at Yadkin Valley Community Hospital. She was born November 7, 1941 to the late Fred Grady and Annie Mae Chain. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years James Robert Parrish, Sr. on November 20, 2014, three daughters Barbara Faye Parrish, Nancy Marie Parrish Hemric, Betty Jean Parrish Wilmoth; a son Dennis Allen Parrish. Surviving is a daughter Julia Ann Parrish Pardue; a son William Alexander Parrish (Cindy); grandchildren Kimberly Kimmer, Patricia (Kevin) Calloway, Robert Wagoner, Donnie Wagoner, Corey Parrish, Brock Parrish; great grandchildren Kamden Kimmer, Raven Kimmer, Keaton Kimmer, Dannon Calloway, Ashton Calloway, Tristen Talley; several great- great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday November 25, 2014 at Gentry Family funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service for her and her husband James Robert Parrish, Sr. will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday November 26, 2014 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by Rev. Grady Trivette. Burial will follow in the Yadkinville Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the loving care given to Mrs. Parrish. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice PO Box 1267 Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Parrish family.
