PARRISH YADKINVILLE Mr. James Robert Parrish Sr Oct. 4, 1927-Nov. 20, 2014 II Timothy 4: 6-7 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Mr. James Robert Parrish, Sr., 87, passed away Thursday November 20, 2014 at his residence. He was born on October 4, 1927 in Forsyth County to the late James Madison Parrish and Louise Faye Rutledge Parrish Baity. He was a loving father and devoted Husband. James first worked at Blue Bird Cab Company in W-S for 12 years. Then he went to Long Distance truck driving for G.G. Parsons in N. Wilkesboro. Then went to Yadkin Lumber Company in Yadkinville for 12 years. James was of the Baptist Faith and a faithful member of Gospel Way Baptist Church for 35 years. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by daughters Barbara Faye Parrish Wagoner, Nancy Marie Parrish Hemric, Betty Jean Parrish Wilmoth, a son Dennis Allen Parrish; brother William Cecil Parrish. Surviving are his wife of 55 years Barbara Ann Chain Parrish; daughter Julia Ann Parrish Pardue, two sons William Alexander Parrish (Cindy), James Robert Parrish, Jr. (Inez); grandchildren Kimberley Kimmer, Patrica (Kevin) Calloway, Robert Wagoner, Donnie Wagoner, Corey Parrish, Brock Parrish; great grandchildren Kamden Kim-mer, Raven Kimmer, Keaton Kimmer, Dannon Calloway, Ashton Calloway, Tristen Talley; several great-great grandchildren. James had a great love for all animals. James loved the outdoor life; he loved to mow the cemetery at church and loved cookouts and going to the Mountains and planting a garden and loved everyone. We love you Daddy and miss you. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2014 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by Rev Grady Trivette and Rev. Marvin Blackburn. Burial will follow at Yadkinville Cemetery.
