She was a retired hairdresser and employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church.
She united in marriage to L. C. Mills, who preceded her in death in 1960.
She is survived by three daughters: Beverly England and husband, Don of Campbellsville, Kaye Compton of Middleburg, Florida and Angela Colvin of Terra Haute, Indiana; four grandchildren: Wes England, Stacy Meek, Stephanie Cobb and John Kohr; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, John David Mills in 1978 and three brothers and five sisters: Walter Bowen, Leonard Bowen, Arvin Bowen, Anne Bault, Marie Cox, Mary Humphress, Mae Hunt and Creola Allen.
