Richard L. "Dick" Alpaugh, 75, of 710 Menno Village, Chambersburg, died Friday, December 7, 2007 in the home.

Born August 3, 1932 in Shippensburg, he was a son of the late Erastus and Alice Dunbar Alpaugh.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Greencastle, he retired from Letterkenny Army Depot as a Electronics Technician, was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Shippensburg, he was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.

He was a lifelong native of Shippensburg, Dick was a loving husband, devoted father and doting grandfather and was an avid Penn State fan.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alice E. Serovetnik Alpaugh, Chambersburg, a son Rick and wife Reggie Alpaugh, Manassas, Va., a daughter Sue Alpaugh, Shippensburg, one brother Earl Alpaugh, Shippensburg and three grandsons Ryan Alpaugh, Tinker Air Force Base, Mitchell Alpaugh, Manassas, VA, and Vance Youtz, Shippensburg.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Charles F., John E. and Russell L. Alpaugh.

Services will be held Monday December 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc. Shippensburg. The Rev. Dennis C. Sproull will officiate. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
