Christian Anderson Taken By Death
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the First ward chapel for Christian Anderson, who died at his home Sunday evening following a hemorrhage resulting from asthma with which he has suffered for several years.
Surviving Mr. Anderson are his widow and the following children: Wanda, Ivo, Duane and Delna. He is also survived by his father A. C. Anderson of Elsinore; three brothers, Charles Anderson of Winterquarters; Levi Anderson of Mt. Pleasant; Dan Anderson of Caliente, Nevada, and one sister, Mrs. Rose Jones of Caliente, Nevada, all of whom came to Richfield to attend the funeral services.
Christian Anderson was born in Manti in 1882, the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Anderson, When ten years of age he moved with his parents to
Salina and a little later to Elsinore where he resided most of the time until 1908 when he was married to Mary Christensen of Richfield. They made their home in Sigurd for a short time, later moving to Garfield and then to Richfield where they have lived for the past 12 years.

Funeral services for Christian Anderson, who died at this home Sunday following a hemmorhage from asthma, were held Thursday afternoon in the First ward chapel, Peter Nielson of the First ward bishopric officiating. The speakers included Patriarch James I. Jensen of Elsinore, Rev. W. S Young and Peter Nielsen, all of whom spoke highly of the departed and offered words of consolation to the bereaved family.
Musical numbers included the opening and closing songs, "Rock of Ages" and "Home Sweet Home", sang by the ward choir, and the rendition of solos, "Face to Face", by Miss Belle Poole, and "Where Will You Spend Eternity", by John Ward.
The opening prayer was offered by Axel Nielsen and President R.D. Young pronounced the benediction.
A profusion of beautiful floral offerings decked the bier. A long cortege followed the remains to the city cemetery where the grave was dedicated by John Ence.
Surviving Mr. Anderson are his widow and the following children: Wanda, Ivo, Duane and Delna. Three brothers and one sister also survive.
