Nora was born in Akron to Irish immigrants, Jeremiah Carroll of Cork City, County Cork and Katie (Chambers) Carroll of Shamore, County Mayo, on November 19, 1922. She graduated from St. Mary's Grade School and St. Mary's High School before attending Business College. A lifetime member of St. Mary's Parish, she also belonged to the St. Monica's Guild there.
Proud of her Irish heritage, Nora was charter member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Margaret Judge Div.
Preceded in death by her husband, Zachary, and brother, Jeremiah "Jerry" Carroll, she is survived by two daughters; brother, John Carroll; sister, Eileen Poulton, both of Cuyahoga Falls; several nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Dr. Gayleen Kolaczewski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery.
