She was born in County Mayo, Ireland on April 1, 1891. She married Jeremiah Carroll in Cleveland Ohio on July 10, 1918. Jeremiah was born in County Cork, Ireland on April 26, 1891 and had emigrated to the United States, thru New York Harbor, in 1912.
Kate and Jerimiah had the following children, all born in Akron:
John James born July 21 1919
Jeremiah James born March 11, 1921
Honora born May 19, 1924
Eileen born April 1, 1927
She took the oath of allegiance to become a U.S. citizen in June of 1948.
