She was formerly employed with the former Fawn Grove Manufacturing, the former Charles G. Summers, Jr., Inc., and the former Hungerford Packing Company. She also offered home care for residents in the Fawn Grove/Harford County area. She was the oldest living member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church of Fawn Grove and a member of its Women's Society (W.S.C.S.) and a member of its choir.
Mrs. Brown is survived by two sons, Henry T. Brown and his wife Bessie of Fawn Grove and John M. Brown and his wife Nancy of Waterville, Pa.; two daughters, J. Romaine Sites and her husband Donald of Fawn Grove and Esther L. Thompson and her husband Curtis of Whiteford, Md.; a sister, Ethel Ziegler Humbert of Stewartstown; eight grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 17 step great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; two step great-greatgrandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Idella Almoney and Alberta Ruff.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 17, 2005 at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 19 South Main Street, Stewartstown with the Reverend Dennis L. McCleary officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet United Methodist Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 74, Fawn Grove, PA 17321.
