Isadore Blume, (illegible) known and most highly respected citizens of Minden, passed to his reward last Saturday night.
He was born in Tenn., Sept. 3, 1847, but removed to Bienville parish with his parents in 1849, and became one of the most prosperous farmers of that parish.
1894 he united with the Baptist Church and was a member at the time of his death.
He leaves, in addition to his wife, a family of eleven grown children to mourn his loss. Six boys and five girls; Four of the sons are practicing physicians, one a dentist. Four of the daughters are married. J.N. Blume, T.A. Blume, Claude Blume and Ernest Blume are M.Ds., Ira Blume is a D.D's. Conway, the youngest son was unable to reach home from Jacksonville, Fla. in time for the funeral of his father.
The daughters are: Mms. May Talton, Pearl Guynn, Jessie Tooke, Exa Young and Miss Ruth Blume.
The funeral was conducted from the home by pastor, C.A. Westbrook, and the large number of the membership of the local lodge had charge of the interment.
A great host of friends extend to this bereaved family, their sincerest sympathy.
