She was born in Pennfield, Clearfield County, on June 5, 1921 to the late Stephen Sylvester and Margaret May Drugs Hunt.
She was a member of the former Assembly of God Church in Seneca.
Mrs. Parks enjoyed vacationing and traveling, craft projects, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed the company of her dear friend, Christina Haag of Reno.
Mary was a dedicated homemaker, wife, and mother.
She was married in Salinas, California on April 22, 1943 to Clair B. Parks, and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Patricia Ann Roseberry and her husband Bruce of Fertigs, and Donna M. Feely and her fiancé, Bill, of Oil City; six grandchildren: Deanna Holbrook and husband Tom, Robbie McCalmont and fiancé Frank, Jim Sharrar and wife LeAnn, Kim Delawder and husband Billy, Stefanie Kelly and fiancé Jeff Bruner, and Alicia Feely; great-grandchildren: Misty Braun and husband Mike, Amanda McCalmont, Jessica Smith and husband Aaron, Dalton Holbrook, Molly Smith and husband Brent, Brian Bruner, and Emily Bruner; and her great-great-grandchildren: Sophia Johnson, David Smith, Joey Smith, Leona Braun, Annabella Sharrar, James Martin Sharrar, and Levi Smith. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Burton M. Parks; eight brothers, Charles, Frank, Spencer, Harry, Don, Paul, and Steven, and an infant brother; and five sisters, Mabel, Geraldine, Myrtle, Eva, and Bessie. Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Friends will be received Sunday (Oct. 12) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Monday (Oct. 13) at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Rudy Reimer, pastor of Calvary Temple Church in Oil City, officiating.
Private entombment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens in Cranberry.
