Duane W. Burns, 79, of 10204 N. Forrest Drive passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
Duane was born Oct. 6, 1926, in Princeville, Ill., to Forrest W. and Iva Grace Barrett Burns. He married Martha Negley on Oct. 14, 1949, in Peoria. She preceded him in death on Sept. 24, 1990, in Peoria.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; four brothers, Ensley, Edwin, Lowell and Alvin; and one sister, Vesta Nordwall.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah (David) Underwood of Peoria; and one brother, Dean (Maureen) Burns of Peoria.
Duane served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He then went to work at Pabst Brewing Co. for 33 years before retiring in 1981.
Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
