Last Rites Conducted
On Friday Afternoon
For William R. Boyett
Funeral services for William Russell Boyett, 86, Sarepta, were held Friday afternoon in the Sarepta Baptist church with the Rev. E.D. Brown officiating. Burial was in the old Sarepta cemetery.
Mr. Boyett died Thursday morning in a Shreveport sanitarium.
A retired Sarepta merchant, Mr. Boyett was one of the five organizers of the new Sarepta Baptist church in 1910 and a member of the Cotton Valley Masonic lodge. He married Sally Connell McDade on January 1, 1896, at Filmore. She died in 1945.
He is survived by four sons, W.R. Boyett, Jr., of Shreveport; J.T. Boyett, Sarepta; J.E. Boyett, Sarepta; one daughter, Miss Helen Boyett of Shreveport, and four grandchildren.
