Mr. Boyett was a retired employe of the Cuban American Sugar Co. and was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church. Born April 8, 1902, in Taylortown, he was a graduate of Tallulah High School and Louisiana State University.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the Osborn Funeral Chapel with Dr. Ira H. Peak, pastor of Lakeshore Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. George H. Hearn of Waco, Tex. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Boyett.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. J. E. Boyett, and one sister, Miss Helen Boyett, both of Shreveport; two brothers, J. T. Boyett Sr. of Sarepta and Thomas E. Boyett of Auga Dulce, Tex.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
