Frank Rhead Allen returned to his Heavenly Father on September 23, 2014.

Frank was born September 26, 1921 in Coalville, Utah, the third child of Frank Stewart and Inez Rhead Allen.

The family moved to Salt Lake City when Frank was four years old. He attended Stewart Elementary School, East High School, and the University of Utah.

Frank married June Tueller on September 4, 1942 in San Diego, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Frank and June are the parents of two daughters: Barbara Allen and Patricia Allen. June passed away in 1978. Later, Frank met and married Lola Hales Floyd. This union included six children. He was a loving and devoted father to his family.

A man of many talents, he was a gifted artist, he loved music and played the piano. He also wrote many gospel centered booklets, he called "Reflections," which he shared with family and friends. Professionally, he was a licensed Mechanical Engineer.

As a devoted member of the LDS Church, he served in many capacities including: Bishop's Counselor, Bishop, Parley's Stake Missionary, and Bountiful Temple Ordinance worker.

Frank enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps and became a pilot during WWII.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, June; his brother, David Allen; and sister, Leila Allen Alexander. Frank is survived by his wife, Lola; his two daughters, Barbara and Patricia; two grandchildren, Antonio Zamora and Lelina Shiraldi; and also by Lola's children: Jerilee (Troy) Thompson, Janel (Patrick) Benton, Jalene Floyd, Bryan (Sherrie) Floyd, Julie (Randy) Holdaway, and Joy Lynn Floyd; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014 in the Porter Lane Third Ward Chapel, 437 West Porter Lane, Centerville. Friends and family may visit on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, and prior to the services at the church on Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Interment will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, East Millcreek.
