Amelia Buckles Rarey (11/9/1866-3/19/1921) was born in Prussia, Germany the daughter of William James (Wilhelm) Buckles or Buckholtz and Caroline Mann Muntz (1835-1897). Her father later married Hattie Clough Buckles.

Her full siblings: Theresa Buckles (1862-1906) Shattuck, Herman Buckles (1865-1921), Matilda Buckles (1873-1948) Green, and John Louis Buckles (1879-1963).

Her half siblings from Hattie: Anna Buckles (10/18/1893-) Carpenter, Joseph Buckles (1898-), Flora Buckles (10/14/1899-) Besse, Joseph Buckles (8/8/1901-8/30/1901) and William Buckles (1903-).

She married James Louis Rarey (5/23/1850-12/9/1913) who had been in a relationship and had children with her sister Theresa Buckles.

Mrs. Matilda Green and Mrs. Earl Shattock have returned from Woodlawn N.Y. where they attented the funeral of Mrs. Amelia Rarey, whose death occured at the home of her son Glenn Rarey of Woodlawn. Mrs. Matilda Green and John Buckles of Olean are sister and brother of deceased.
Mrs. Olive Buckles of Olean, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smith of Allegany and Emmett Green of Olean attended the funeral of Mrs. Amelia Rarey of Woodlawn, N.Y.
Amelia's death certificate said she was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Woodlawn NY
