Services for Hazel Carlson



Funeral services for Hazel Carlson, 84, of rural Wakefield were held Wednesday morning, May 25 at the Concordia Lutheran Church at Concord. The Rev. Duane Marburger officiated. The congregation sang "Children of the Heavenly Father", "Oh, Jesus I Have Promised" and "How Great Thou Art". Organist was Marilyn Wallin.



Hazel Fern Wilhelmia was born April 19, 1910 on a farm northwest of Wakefield, the daughter of Frank C. and Clara Esther Johnson Carlson. She passed away May 22, 1994 at the Providence Medical Center in Wayne.



She was baptized May 30, 1910 and confirmed on May 24, 1924 at Concordia. She attended school at Pleasant Dell Country School near Wakefield.



She did domestic work in Omaha for many years. She was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church and active in Lutheran League and choir.



She was preceded in death by a brother, Vern, and a sister, Laura. Survivors include two sisters, Opal Carlson and Minnie Carlson, both of Wakefield, nephews and nieces.



Pallbearers were Lyle Carlson, Randall Carlson, Wallace Anderson, Harlin Anderson, "Alvin Anderson, Clayton Anderson, Kenneth Anderson, Curtis Anderson and Earl Anderson.



Interment was in the Concord Cemetery.
