Mildred Harry Earles passed away peacefully from natural causes on July 15, 2023, in Lanett, AL. Born on January 25, 1934, in LaGrange, GA, Mildred lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to her family and community.
Born and raised in LaGrange, GA, Mildred was a proud graduate of LaGrange High School and Perry Business School. Mildred began working at Industrial Suppliers in LaGrange, GA. She then became a purchasing agent for West Point Stevens and retired after 40 years of service to the company. Her work ethic and commitment to her community were truly admirable.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert A. Earles, her parents, Grover C. and Maude Pierce Harry, one brother, Lewis Harry, one sister, Geraldine Harry Howard, and brother-in-law, Wallace Howard. Despite these losses, Mildred's spirit remained resilient, and she continued to be a source of strength and inspiration for her family.
Mildred was a beloved mother, sister, cousin, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Alan Dobbins (Susan) Earles and Robert "Bobby" Harry (Wanda) Earles; her sister, Francis Harry Asher; her sister-in-law Jewel Earles, her nephew Jimmy Earles; her cousins, Ethel Livingston, Jean Miller, Patricia McVay, Woody Harry, and Curtis Pierce. Mildred's love for her family extended to her cherished grandchildren, Heidi (Jason) Kirkland, Lindsay (Justin) Whitehead, Kelly Dean, Ali (Devin) Moffett, Stephanie (Adam) Goode, and her great-grandchildren, Rylan Lowery, Ryder Lowery, Lily Kirkland, Levi Dean, Elijah Dean, Hudson Whitehead, Avery Moffett, Rowan Goode, Rhett Goode, and Rory Goode. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
A woman of deep faith, Mildred was a devoted and faithful member of Shawmut First Church of the Nazarene. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she lived it out through her actions and interactions with others. She also found joy in her involvement with the Joy Club, where she spent many happy hours with her friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley with interment following in Harmony Memorial Park. Her family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday; Pastors Tim Campbell and Bonnye Campbell officiating.
