Poland and arrived in the United States about 1870's. Her parents were Martin Liss and Katherine Wielgus. She married John Placzek in 27 Jan 1852 in Poland.

TARNOV (Tuesday, June 14) Funeral of Mrs. Agnes Placzek Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Placzek, 91, one of the oldest settlers in Platte county, were held at St. Michaels church in Tarnov Monday at 9 a. m. with Rev. Paul Muszelewicz, pastor, officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers were Joseph Zoucha, Alois Zoucha, James Gourka, Joseph Sliva, Joseph B. Zoucha and Dennis Placzek. Out-of-town relatives and friends attending were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Placzek and son, Dennis and Frank, and daughters, Misses Mary and Antoinette, Mrs. Edgar Beattie, Mrs. Josephine Pokorski and daughter, Bernadine, Mrs. Joseph Mitera and Maes Mitera, all of Columbus; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Zoucha, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zoucha, and Mrs. Martin Zoucha, all of Ravenna; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Placzek, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Laska, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Grzlwa. all of Silver Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Placzek. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Placzek and children and Joe Kraus of Loup City; Mr. and Mrs. John Torczon and children, Loretta and Dickie of Ashton, Ven. Sister M. Solana of Humphrey, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Placzek and daughter, Salvena. Mr. and Mrs. Alois Mostek, Andrew Mostek, Miss Lo-retta Gavlik, Mrs. Joe Dush and daughter, Emly, Joe, Louis, John and Miss Leona Liss all of Duncan, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer, Rice of Omaha.
